How do I add images to my iHOUSE website?
Images can be added to most text areas of the website using the @image# code. In addition, these images can be linked to other websites, and webpages on your website.
Adding Images/Photos is a two step process.
Step 1
1) Click on the house at the bottom of your home page and log into the Admin Menu
2) Choose "Edit Website Contents".
3) Click the button/page on which you would like to add the photo.
4) Choose the textfield where you would like the image placed.
5) Type in the code @image#. Note: Do not use the # symbol. Replace the # with a number between 1-99. This number will be the number assigned to that image. For Example - @image1 will be image 1, @image2 will be image 2 etc. A blank space is required before and after the @image# code.
6) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Save Changes" button.
Step 2
1) On the page, you will see a small <Image> button. It should be in the location where you placed the @image# code. Note: If the image button does not appear, click on the refresh or
reload button of your browser. If the image still does not appear, double check your code to make sure it was entered correctly.
2) Click on the <Image> button.
3) Click on "Browse".
4) Locate your picture file and click "open". The location of the picture will appear in the Photo textfield.
5) Select the Text Wrap/Alignment option.
6) If you don't want the image to link elsewhere, select the "Disabled" option in the "Link to web page" section.
7) If you want the image to link to a specific page on your site, select the "select a page from your website" option and use the drop down menu to select which page.
8) If you want the image to link to a website, select the "Other Location" option and enter the URL. Note: The URL should begin with "http://www."
9) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Save Changes" button.
To add additional images, repeat the above process BUT use a different number to replace the #. For example - If you have already used @image1, assign the new image @image2.
Note: Once an image has been set up, the same code can be used to call up the image at any time on your site. Example: @image1 will always display the image assigned as image 1, regardless of the page you are on.
Warning: If you change an image, change the alignment, or the link properties for an image, all places on the web site that call for that image will be changed as well.
Note: If you do not see your photo immediately, please check back in an hour. iHOUSE upgrades its sites and servers on a daily basis, which may cause temporary delays.
